Amidst the bustling day to day existence in the overpopulated city of
Bangalore, space seems to contract and time even more so. One begins to wonder
if there is enough on earth for all of us, but just as you cross the city
limits enduring the painful traffic, there is light at the end of the road ,
and not just little, lots of it. The vast swathes of plains and mountains that
lay unoccupied offer a fresh whiff of air to our suffocated souls.
It was after one such weekend trip to a nearby waterfall that I decide to
stop and climb this hill , and it was pure joy to just sit atop and watch the
beauty of the landscape. It felt like being in the middle of nowhere. I just
wanted to be there forever. Time had frozen and my thoughts came to a
standstill. Free from all the worries and deadlines and pressures, I just sat
there admiring the beautiful creation that was given to us. When I returned
home that evening, I realized that we have turned such a beautiful landscape
into a monstrosity called a city.
Why do I still live here, I wondered ? Money, Oh… Damn. Back to the
worries, pressures and deadlines.
Here are some pictures so that you know there is a world outside the
confines of this city that is captivating and more importantly, unsullied.
